Why I Voted For Donald Trump

Why I Voted for Donald Trump: An Honest Look

The media has been frantically pushing its own ideas about why Trump won, but they are ignoring the voices of real Americans. This is a big problem with today’s media. They tell the narrative they want us to believe and expect us to agree with it, even when our everyday lives show us something different. When we turn off the news and go about our daily lives, the reality we see doesn’t match the narrative we’re being sold. So who should we believe—our own experiences or the media’s version of the truth?

Here are the real reasons Americans like me voted for Trump.

1. The Economy
The media tried to paint life under Trump’s first term as a disaster, but for many of us, it was the first time in years that we felt financially secure. Gas was affordable, food prices were stable, and businesses were thriving. Life felt stable and the American Dream seemed reachable.

2. Regulations Hurting Minority Businesses
When Joe Biden took office, he introduced policies to track and tax electronic payments over $600. This was supposed to target the rich, but it ended up targeting everyday people, like barbers, beauticians, and self-employed contractors who rely on digital payment platforms. These taxes were a real burden for regular Americans trying to make a living.

3. Concerns Over Gender Ideologies

Over the past four years, Americans have felt forced to accept new gender ideologies that don’t align with reality. If you disagreed, you risked backlash. This upset many of us. We were expected to use preferred pronouns and to refer to biological men as women. We were also told to accept that biological men could use the same bathrooms as our daughters, while reports of trans women using their gender identity to commit crimes were largely ignored by the media.

The issue of gender-affirming care for children was especially concerning. Under the Biden administration, parents who did not agree to transition their children risked losing parental rights. Their children were often taken away and subjected to castration and mutilation all in the name of  “gender affirming care”. The sexualization of children and pressure to accept these changes was simply too extreme for many Americans.

4. The Media’s Treatment of Trump in 2020
Watching how Trump was treated by the media in 2020 was eye-opening. At the January 6 rally, Trump told people to march peacefully, but the media repeatedly ignored that part of his speech. They even removed that section from social media. For those of us who watched his speech, it was shocking to see his words misrepresented.

5. Concerns Over Election Integrity
Many Americans saw things during the election that did not seem right. We watched videos, saw footage, and heard stories that raised concerns. But when we tried to speak up, we were brushed off. We were gas-lighted and made to feel like we were crazy for questioning the election process.

6. Unfair Treatment of Trump by the Government
It was hard to watch how Trump was treated by government officials. It felt like they had a personal vendetta against him. As a black American, I could relate to his situation. I know what it’s like to feel targeted unfairly. Seeing this treatment made me sympathize with him even more.

7. Trump’s Record on Peace
Under Trump,  there were no wars, and the Middle East was at peace because of his Abraham Accords. This was a big step forward, but the media tried to gas-light us and  downplayed it. For many of us regular Americans, those four years of peace were a major achievement.

In the end, I voted for Trump because of my own experiences, not because of what the media told me. This was a decision based on what I saw and believed, not on any imaginary media narrative. My choice was rooted in the real issues that I believe matter to everyday Americans. Do you agree? Feel free to comment.
